PERSUSIVE VOICE

After listening amd trying to piece it together and having "brain freeze" as a writer I finally got the words to describe this album. I listened to the album called "Love and Liberty" by an artist known as Tatiana Moroz. She starts off the album with a catchy song called "let it go". I really like the song and it has a real good music feel to it. I usually listen to an album a whole lot of times before I write any feelings down that way it has time to savor my musical pallet. I have noticed that the third track on the album had a familiar sound to it then I  really got into realizing that this song was from one of my favorite artists of all time,  Mr. Neil Young and the song that Tatiana does is a incredible rendition of "Heart of Gold" Tatianas voice just fits exceptionally well within this song. As I listened more to the album I noticed her writing style is one of those musicians that are deep writers and write from experience. Throughout the album Tatiana expresses just that. I felt her emotional journey through her lyrics and is projected nicely through her persusive voice. Tatiana on this album does a version of "The House Of the Rising Sun", and really brings this to life while adding her expressive voice to the song. There are some really great songs to be heard on this album, and Tatiana and her voice will lead you there. I really enjoyed the album and it's content. The one song I most enjoyed is a song called " Leaving Tomorrow", which to me expresses a lot of who Tatiana is as a writer and singer. Tatiana totally. She shows what a real beautiful artist Tatiana really is. This album is a real solid album and showcases Tatianas vocal arrangements, and that is the way I love to hear thought provoking albums. Thank you Tatiana your patience and allowing me to hear such an expressive voice and talent to boot. Also having me along your jouney of your music career.

KICKING SOME SEROIUS

After having the real privilege of actually meeting and speaking and seeing him up close and personal Mr. Walter Trout is a living legend. Back, in 2002 and his band the Radicals put on a show of shows. The tremendous talent was there and always will be. Walter, himself is very personal person who is who you see is who you get with the exception of his guitar playing, that is where he makes larger than life footprints or in this case fingerprints all over the stage and his guitar. Being heavily influenced by Bob Dylan and early music artists Walter plainly rips into every song with true passion and emotion. With the release of "Battle Scars" which showcases his raw and awesome ability to grab your ears tight and don't let go until they are bleeding or your ear drums are ringing severely.  No wonder this album has gained him two awards , one being blues song of the year and the other best blues album in Memphis TN. The song "gonna live again seems very fitting for him since his recovery from liver failure in 2013. Walter remains a contender in the blues scene forever. Walter and his latest work called "Live in Amsterdam" is just that, this album gives a small glimpse into really how awesome and blues guy Walter really is. There is no way of explaining how the real live show  is but "Incredible" One must be at one of Walters shows to observe this. This album really showcases Walter's ability to kick some serious butt and take no prisoners.I can actually say why time after time Walter is voted in the top 10 giutarists of all time. Walter has sure paid his dues and is forever "Relentless" in his pursuit in plain "kick butt" blues . As for me I am proud to have met Walter Trout and also had the real pleasure in seeing him in show as well.I wish him well in all he does in the future and May God bless Walter & his family and the blues forever.

POET OF THE PRARIE

Tim Foster , a country guy with all heart and a fine musician at that, reflects his style of it's own. A Marty Robbins style and story telling  through poetry and expressed through the music and lyrics to match. Tim Foster and his latest album called "Clearwater" is the real deal, here you have a guy just singing about life and it comes out really good. I love the sound that is produced while listening to, it is, eclectic in style, but remains real and focused. As the album moves forward, you feel as you were riding out west with the cowboys of yesterday. The real "Poet of the Prarie", brings the songs to life and showcases his talent through music and great poetry.

Songs like "Ode to a Fisherman"  just a fine example of the feeling you get when you are being told a story and the story comes to life and you are in it. Another song from this album "Take me back to Texas" through song Tim and band sing and write directly to you and keep you in the moment.Tim really is the "Poet of the Prarie" and his album "Clearwater" is a fine example of just that. Tim throughout the album is a painter of words that paint the vivid picture for you and makes you feel that you are a part of his journey, wherever he is taking you through song, I am with Tim Foster on his journey to "Fisherman's Paradise" at the moment, however I am happy to be with him along his musical journey as well. Thank you Tim for allowing me to be a part in your music and looking forwards to hearing more from your many travels through your musical pallet.

"OUT OF BODY AND ON THE CHARTS"

After a good number of spins on the record player and listening to the most recent work of Dario and his EP "Alpha" , he continues to hit the sounds of dance floor oriented singles. which pop songs, dance and all night music scene explode together in a superb sounding album and collection of songs. The album driven by the sounds reminiscent of Jason Derullo. This opens the doors with a consistent mix really great dance floor smash hits and mixing together the late euro-techno pop sound.

Dario, with the sound that provides the platform for a dance beat that reveals awesome beat band vocals with the hint of Prince. The song I really enjoyedon this album is called "Try It" , it just has "That Sound".

How I describe"that Sound"is the right beat at the right time and the music mix throughout is consistent and makes one want to get up and dance. This album provides both.

The album "Alpha" really shows and allows you to feel that persuasion factor and remains throughout the album. This album has great lyrics and very catchy beats and the vocal ability of Dario projects a powerful medium throughout the album.  I am elated to be a real part of Darios musical journey and really feel the vibes and the beat has not stopped for him. Dario is "Out of Body" and heading to the top of the charts.

One last thing a thank you to Elizabeth Adamczyk and Chloe for connecting with myself and Dario through the power of music.

"ROCK OF AGES"

After being a long time fan, listener, entrepreneur, and reviewer of all kinds of music, The Oak Ridge Boys comes alive, with a phenomenal collection of "Hymns and gospel favorites, "Rock of Ages" This album is the latest project of their numerous country albums & other awesome projects. If you are into gospel or hymns or just superb music, you owe yourself a trip to your local record store and pick up this album.

After hearing the Oak Ridge Boys on the radio for years they never stop satisfying my taste for just great music. The Oak Ridge Boys return to the scene with their latest album called "Rock of Ages". This totally describes them to a T, in which they truly are, The Rock of Ages. The Oak Ridge Boys putting together a fifteen song collection of hymns and gospel favorites, just hits the nail in the head.

From the beginning of this beautifully produced album. With the song that caught my eyes and ears attention was the song "Sweet Jesus" which is sung with the late Merle Haggard and just adds that sound to the album. Song after song the Oak Ridge Boys knock it out of the park and allow you to hear the sounds of their roots, a gospel/country quartet. The songs on this tremendous album really showcase the bands roots in a fine fashion. All the songs, including a song called"Time Has Made a Change in Me"  really reflects pure emotion and brought tears to my eyes.

On this album the "Boys" project their emotional value of gospel and hymns as they were written and intended for. The entire collection has it all. They are down to a quartet and a handful of others on this album, but remain in their prime. This album serves all the songs perfect justice and is a real treasure to own, in my collection. The Oak Ridge Boys, really are "The Rock of Ages" and in my opinion needs to be the best gospel/country album of all time. I want to take the time to thank Mr. Duane Allen for making the effort to connect with me, and I am elated to be part of their tremendous musical career.

" ZESTING THROUGH TIME"

After listening to the latest work from Rachel Walker I realized that she has something good. First thing that comes to mind is that she has a voice from the past that brings it current and up to speed. I had the real pleasure of receiving three CD's and a companion DVD of hers. Really, unbelievably, great, all three including the DVD. One must really sit down and really listen to the albums.

I listened first to her album "Zorobabel" , which is really put together well. I feel like I have gone back in time and traveling with her. Rachel has the ability to really put words of poetry into song and make you feel as part of her journey. One of the songs on this superb album is called "In my Darkness", this is a extremely deep thought provoking song and the songs that follow are superb and make you wishing for more.

The next album "The Best of Zest" vol 1 is just another fine example of consistent songs throughout her musical catalog. A song from this album that really caought my ear is "Must be a reason" this song to me, really just fulfills that deep spot in music, where I always look for it, and this song has it. Throughout all her albums Rachel really edges emotion through her craft like lyrics and edgy singing.

The 3rd album "The Best of Zest " vol 2 really brings the message of really great poetry into song. This album by The Rachel Walker Trio adds full dimension to Rachels awesome lyric writing. The songs come alive with the use of  cellos, violin, piano and acoustic guitar, which adds that much more to rachels lyric content that are superbly written and finished. If one is into true lyrics and poetry mixed together and expressed through song, than these albums truly derserve your affections. I know I was thoroughly impressed and will always, be a follower of the Rachel Walker Trio, and am truly blessed to be on her musical journey through time.

Thank you Rachel for allowing me to be a part of your musical journey and I am anxiously awaiting a new album, so that I may continue this wonderful experience.

"NATURAL LADY"

Posted on May 24, 2016 at 8:20 PM Comments comments (0)

After reading and realizing who this woman really is I have been transfixed on her style. I have for the last four weeks been listening to the catalog of Larissa Tormeyand WOW!! what style and what sound that emulates from her voice. it has taken a little while for me to put into words on how to describe what I heard on her library of music. I can not even begin to compare her with anyone particular, and.. that's when it hit me. Larissa has her own style and voice that transforms her native sound of Russian that blends in the sounds of the Irish.

Adding these two styles together you would'nt think you could have a sound. Once again WOW!! what a sound and phenomenal talent that showcases her classically trained voice at it's very best. A woman who grew up in Russia, fell in love with the Irish landscape and is able to express this through her tremendous talented voice and lyrics.

Larissa expresses her talent through her unbelievable voice and adds flavor with her lyrics.  When listening to her songs her voice crosses both countries, Russia and Ireland, but comes out like one of the country artists that have just been heard on the radio. I feel this prooves who Larissa is. "Only A Woman" reflects just that. Another song "Nothing lasts forever"  is a song that makes you reflect on ones past or what one is going through right now.  These reflect who Larissa Tormey really is as a singer/songwriter.

Another song in her repertoire "My Love is like a River", just flows ever so gently, just as the song says, and this song could and should fit right in with todays country radio mix. All in all Larissa Tormey is a supremely talented lady and in my opinion needs to be heard. When given the chance at all times I share her music with others and enjoy it as much as I do. To quote on of her cover songs " I'm gonna be a country girl again" written by Buffy Saint Marie and Larissa doing a great version of this. It's been " A long time coming" but well worth the wait. I am anxious for her latest music to arrive and I am happy to be on her musical journey with her.

I HAVE PROBABLY BEEN EXPOSED TO A LOT OF MUSIC IN MY LIFE, HOWEVER UPON DISCOVERING KELLY AUTY AND HER ALBUM

"FALLING FOR YOU'" I THINK I HAVE FOUND THE GOLDMINE OF COUNTRY SUPERSTARS. THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE ALBUM SHE

SINGS THE SONGS LIKE I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO HER ALL MY LIFE. SHE BRINGS TO LIFE INTO ALL THE SONGS ON THIS

BEAUTIFULLY PACKAGED CD. THIS ALBUM IS VERY WELL PRODUCED AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH ALMOST EVERY SONG I HEARD. FROM

THE SONG 'EVERYTHING TO ME' TO 'FALLING' AND 'ALL WE GOT'. HER SOUND IS UNMATCHED AND MADE ME BELIEVE THERE IS REALLY

SUPERB MUSIC ARTISTS OUT THERE. THIS LADY HAS A SENSE OF STYLE AND SOUND THAT REALLY LIVES UP TO WHAT MUSIC AND

TALENT MIXED TOGETHER SHOULD SOUND LIKE. I WAS ASTOUNDED TO HEAR THE EVERLASTING SMOOTH SOUND OF HER SEXY BUT

REAL STYLE SHE BRINGS TO THE MICROPHONE WHEN SHE SINGS ON THIS ALBUM. THE ONE SONG THAT BROUGHT FEELINGS FOR

MYSELF WAS 'YOU CAN'T STOP LOVE' YET ANOTHER REASON TO CONTINUE MY QUEST TO FIND AND REVIEW THE MOST TALENTED

ARTISTS AROUND THE GLOBE. AND ACTUALLY WRITE  ABOUT THEM. KELLY PROVES THAT TALENT IS OUT THERE, YOU JUST NEED TO

LOOK AND FIND IT. I AM VERY PROUD TO HAVE WRITTEN A REVIEW FOR HER ALBUM AND THIS IS A MUST FOR ANY PERSON LOOKING

GETTING "LOUD" AND RAMAINING "UNDEFEATED " WITH BRITTANY

Posted on December 25, 2015 at 1:40 PM Comments comments (0)

Since hearing the new ep album "undefeated"  released from Brittany Leo and reamaining loud and feeling wow'd , if that's a word. I am not sure how to classify her style, but it shares sounds from all of these rock, pop, dance, techno and modern rock.

With every track on her latest ep album "undefeated" Brittany Leo proves she has it all,

rock, pop,, dance, techno, disco and very curent sounds at that. All throughout the album

the sound is unmatched, The song "starting over" is just awesome, telling a story while

keeping the beat alive. Throughout the album Brittany delivers a powerful punch of dance

electronica delivered with vocal capability that does not quit. Brittany's voice is one to

reckoned with. She is loud and clear. Every song on the album is "radio ready" and leaves

one ready to hit the dance floor and dance all night. This album is a superb example of

what dance, pop,  techno,  modern rock should sound like,  and I love it. No sense in

"starting over" for Brittany. she sings it loud and proud and clear and sounds most

excellent, on this album she really has it going on..

"NOT SOUL SEARCHING"..SOUL GRINDING

Posted on November 4, 2015 at 7:00 PM Comments comments (2)

There are times when you think you heard all the music...not quite, upon listening the most recent work of Mr. Patrick Yandall entitled  " Soul Grind" I was simply amazed and in a lot of WOW!! moments. The album has it all sound, soul and a lot of soul grinding  music to boot. The album starts out with the song My lady that has a very smooth licking sound mixed with that jazz beat that is unmatched rhythm. it makes you feel good , my feeling I get is just kickin' back on a saturday and has the full flavor of the spectrum of jazz music defined.

The album as a whole mixed with sounds of pop added to the strong feeling of really well produced and sounding  jazz adds a great new sound and dimension to the already smooth sounds that you hear and allows your music pallet to come alive. The sound continues throughout this track and throughout the album. Patrick adds his touch of unique flare on one of the covers on this album, "Human Nature" this really compliments  the surrounding instrumentation and Patrick amplifies that sound to a higher ground. The song forever keeps reinforcing the sound of deep soul grabbing that emulate a relaxing boat trip or open road experience on your favorite coastal road.. Room 335 adds a whole new dimension to jazz with the soul grinding bump sounds emitting from the guitar of Patrick that envelopes it all together.

Say ow, really brings the sound of guitar to life with an opening solo that lasts for the first thirty seconds of the song, this adds deep blues intervention fused with jazz, by the time the song kicks into high gear it all goes to prove that Patrick Yandall has the talent that has you feeling it all the way through. Lay me down, slows the tempo down a bit and adds a cooling sensation to ones musical hearing, and allows one to relax and enjoy the talent, this really showcases Patricks true talent and ability of musicianship. More that I am, reaches well beyond the pinnacle and realm of jazz, it adds a sound that surpass the traditional jazzy horn and harmony sounds, Patrick brings to life these sounds to a new level. Followed up  with a cover of a Steely Dan song "Josie" just adds more punch to ones musical pallet. The song "bump this" brings all the album together and adding an element of jazz beats to the form in true jazz style.

Wrapping up the album "when Robbins fly", this song to me paints a true picture to the listener a vivid and heard experience and flows smoothly and flavorful with a sense of fufillment. All in all this album deserves your full attention, even if you are not a jazz person, this album is in easy words, "superb yet smooth" much like a great wine, one of the exclamations I used when listening to it for the first time was "one hell of an album". Patrick plays his music and paints paints a vivid picture of how jazz shuld be played  and heard, and sums this all up in a superbly fine album called "Soul Grind"
